About Edgar Mindfulness

My name is Edgar Acosta, and I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Universidad Iberoamericana. I have a Master's degree in Relaxation, Meditation, and Mindfulness from the Universitat de Barcelona. Additionally, I have a diploma in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) from the IPPC Center for Cognitive Psychotherapy and TREC.

With over 12 years of experience in meditative traditions and mental health therapies, my mission is to facilitate the learning of methods and skills for managing the mind and emotions for those seeking balance in their well-being. I draw from psychology, Mindfulness, neuroscience, and meditative traditions to provide professional mental health and well-being services.

I have conducted Mindfulness courses and mental and emotional well-being experiences for companies such as Ayam, Universidad UTEL, Grupo Rotoplas, BBVA, Farmacias Similares, among others.

Mindfulness courses

Mindfulness is a secular practice that helps you enjoy the present moment with attitudes that foster a kinder relationship with yourself and others.

There are numerous scientifically proven benefits for reducing stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, and maintaining a balanced lifestyle.

​

Those who have taken my courses and workshops recommend this practice because it helps them become more aware of what they do, feel, and think. It allows them to live more calmly and to give themselves moments to release the stress and anxiety they experience day by day.

You can hire my Mindfulness experiences and courses for your company or school. Alternatively, you can opt for private sessions.

ACT psychotherapy

I provide online and in-person psychotherapy services for adults dealing with issues such as anxiety, stress, relationship problems, grief, burnout, depression, behavioral disorders, among others.

​

My therapeutic approach is based on contextual or third-wave therapies, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness.

​

In my therapy sessions, I can help you take care of your mental and emotional well-being in a straightforward manner. Additionally, I encourage you to be consistent with your life purposes.

​

Sessions are customized based on the areas of life you want to improve: relationships, work, self-care, family, personal growth, spirituality, finances, hobbies, among others.

​

An idea to understand the importance of nurturing each area of your life is the metaphor of the garden. If your life were a garden:

  • What kinds of plants or flowers do you have in it (areas of your life)?

  • Do you have the necessary skills to take care of each of the plants in your garden and face the adversities that threaten them?

Advaita Vedanta meditation

Have you heard about non-duality while meditating?

It's a state of higher consciousness where things can be perceived more clearly, dissolving the differences between the observer and the observed.

​

Another way to understand non-duality is a mystical experience where the senses are heightened, the perception of time is altered, and the sensation of being everywhere and nowhere at once arises. And the best part is that you don't need any drugs or rituals to experience it, just knowing how to intensely direct your attention to the present moment.

​

Advaita Vedanta is a philosophical and spiritual tradition from India that has been studying non-duality for millennia to understand the differences between the real (Brahman) and the illusory (Maya).

​

In my MAV (Advaita Vedanta meditation) course, I teach you everything you need to know to meditate deeply and navigate the oceans of non-duality.

Meditation channel

Meditation is a practice that allows you to experience life with greater calmness, acceptance, and equanimity.

​

There are different styles of meditation that help you learn ways to manage your mind, accept your emotions, cultivate virtues, enjoy your senses, and deeply connect with yourself.

​

On my meditation channel, you'll find videos with practices for beginners and intermediates, and even some for advanced practitioners. There are over 15 hours of material available to you, and each month you'll find a new meditation.
